Health data we collect and why
- Health conditions, allergies and medicines that a parent adds to a child's care card.
- Doctor and emergency contacts that a parent adds alongside them.
We collect it for one purpose: so the adults the parent chooses can see it in Owl when they look after the child. We don't use it for anything else, don't draw inferences from it, and never use it for advertising.
Where it comes from
Only from the parent who adds it to the care card. We don't collect health data from any other source.
Your consent
Before a parent first adds health information to a care card, the app asks for their consent to collect it. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the information from the care card. We then stop collecting it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and see it;
- get a list of every third party and affiliate we've shared it with, with their contact details;
- withdraw your consent;
- have it deleted, including from our archives and backups.
Delete it in the app (Family, choose the child, Care card), or email privacy@owlbell.com. We'll respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need up to 45 more days, as the law allows. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision; if you're not satisfied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General.
